Privacy Policy
Document: Privacy Policy · Version: 1.0.0 · Effective date: 2026-08-20
Cookies and similar technologies are covered separately in Cookie Notice.
1. Who we are
1.1 This policy explains how Money Trading Academy LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of New Jersey, with its registered address at 597 E 30th St, Paterson, NJ 07513, USA ("MTA," "we," "us"), handles personal information at moneytradingacademy.com (the "Site").
1.2 MTA is the business responsible for the personal information described here.
1.3 Privacy questions: moneytradingacademy.infra@gmail.com. Formal privacy requests and legal notices: moneytradingacademy.infra@gmail.com.
2. What this policy covers
2.1 MTA provides futures-trading education: courses taught in scheduled classes, live online sessions, and a technical indicator for trading software. This policy covers the personal information MTA collects when you apply for access, hold an account, buy a product, use Materials, or attend a live session.
2.2 MTA's products are offered to customers in the United States, and this policy is written to a US, California-forward standard.
2.3 This policy does not cover the separate privacy practices of the third parties listed in section 8; each of them handles the information it receives under its own policy.
3. Information MTA collects
3.1 Information you give MTA when you apply
| Field | Required? | Why MTA collects it |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Required | To identify you, address you, and keep records of your purchases |
| Email address | Required | Your account identifier; all account, purchase and Class notices |
| Phone number | Required | Support and account-related contact |
| Date of birth | Required | Two purposes: (a) to enforce MTA's 18+ age requirement — an application showing an age under 18 is rejected at the form step; and (b) aggregate analytics about MTA's audience |
| Country | Optional | Analytics |
| Trading experience level | Optional | Analytics, and to understand who MTA teaches |
| Referral source ("how did you hear about us") | Optional | Analytics and marketing measurement |
3.1.1 Date of birth is retained after the age check and used for aggregate analytics. It is not discarded once you pass the age gate.
3.2 Account and sign-in information
Your sign-in method (Google, or email and password) and the identifier your sign-in provider gives MTA. MTA does not receive or store your Google password. Where you use an email and password, the credential is held by MTA's authentication provider (section 8) in hashed form; MTA staff cannot read it.
3.2.1 Password resets. If you reset your password, MTA records that a reset completed and when — so it can apply its limit of two completed resets in any 30 days. It does not record the password.
3.2A Preferences
Your appearance preference (light or dark), the colour you chose for your generated profile icon, and whether the navigation sidebar was last open or collapsed. MTA does not host an uploaded profile picture, or any other file you upload — the Site has no upload of any kind (section 4).
3.3 Application, approval and enrollment records
Your application and its outcome, the date and the staff member who decided it, your applications to Classes and their outcomes, your Seats, and your status (pending, approved, rejected, blocked). MTA does not delete these records; it changes their status — so support, appeals, disputes and reinstatement remain possible.
3.3.1 Staff notes and the action log. MTA also keeps its own internal notes on a decision about your account — why an application was declined, why access was withdrawn — and an append-only log of the staff actions taken on your account (who did what, when). These are MTA's business records, kept so that decisions and appeals can be reviewed and so that enforcement is consistent. They are not shown to you in the Site. You may request them under section 12, and MTA will provide what it is required to.
3.4 Purchase records
What you bought, which Class it was for, the amount actually paid, the currency, the status of the payment, and — where a card checkout was used — identifiers issued by MTA's payment processor. MTA does not receive or store your full card number, CVC or expiry date — those go directly to Stripe (section 8).
3.5 Consent records
Each time you accept a policy, MTA appends a record containing: the policy type, the version, a SHA-256 hash of the exact text shown to you, a server-set timestamp, your IP address, your browser user-agent, and which screen collected the acceptance.
3.5.1 MTA keeps these records so it can show precisely what you agreed to, when, and from where. This is a legitimate record-keeping purpose, not tracking, and the records are not used for advertising.
3.5.2 You can view every version you accepted, and the exact text, from your account.
3.6 Course progress and quizzes
3.6.1 MTA records your progress through Course Materials on its servers. Specifically: a lesson is recorded as completed when you open it, and a quiz when you submit it — whether or not you pass. Live Sessions are not recorded either way, because MTA does not track attendance and does not use the video provider's data for that purpose. Progress records are append-only: MTA adds to them and does not remove or rewrite them.
3.6.1a Where a Course includes a quiz, MTA stores your attempt, the answers you gave, and your score. You can see your own; MTA staff can see them on your record.
3.6.2 This is financially material, not just cosmetic: for a self-paced open Course, refund eligibility depends on whether you have consumed less than 25% of the Materials, and MTA's server-side records are authoritative for that decision. See Refund & Cancellation Policy section 4.
3.6.3 Progress is computed on MTA's servers from your actual use of the Materials, is visible to you in your account, and is visible to MTA staff on your record so a refund decision can be checked afterwards.
3.7 Live session information
Live Sessions are a one-way broadcast — attendees do not speak, and there is no participant audio, no video and no question-and-answer segment (see Terms of Service section 11.1.1). When you join, MTA's video provider (section 8) processes what it needs to connect you — typically your display name, the email address you join with, your IP address, and connection and device information — under its own privacy policy, not MTA's.
3.7.1 MTA does not receive an attendance list from the video provider and does not record who attended. MTA does not currently record its sessions. If MTA ever does, participants will be told before the recording starts.
3.8 Indicator licence information
If you hold the Money Level Signal indicator licence, MTA stores your licence record, the access key issued to you, its status and expiry, and the hardware identifier of the machine the key is bound to, which is read from your computer the first time the indicator connects. This binding is how MTA stops one licence being used on many machines.
3.8.1 The indicator runs on separate infrastructure from this Site, and the licence records above are held there rather than in the Site's database. Both are listed in section 8.
3.8.2 The indicator sends the same price levels to every subscriber. It does not read your positions, your account, your orders or your broker, and it sends nothing about your trading back to MTA.
3.9 Support communications and the members' group
Emails and messages you send MTA, and MTA's replies. MTA also runs a WhatsApp group for members; messages there are processed by WhatsApp under its own terms. That group is a space for members to talk to each other — what you post in it is visible to the other members in it, not just to MTA, and MTA does not control what they do with it. MTA's own messages there are operational (access, payments, session notices).
3.10 Technical and log information
IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, timestamps, referring page, and error diagnostics — collected automatically by MTA's hosting, database and email providers to run the Site, diagnose faults, enforce rate limits and detect abuse.
3.11 Email delivery information
Whether an email MTA sent you was delivered, bounced or was marked as spam.
3.12 Staff exports
MTA's staff can export the member list — name, email, status, and the dates on the account — as a spreadsheet, for administration and reconciliation. Exports stay inside MTA.
4. What MTA does not collect
- No full card numbers, CVCs or expiry dates. Card data goes directly to Stripe.
- No bank login credentials.
- No government identification documents, and no Social Security or taxpayer numbers from customers.
- No brokerage credentials, account numbers, balances, positions or trade history. MTA does not connect to your broker, does not place trades, and never holds or manages your money.
- No precise geolocation.
- No contact lists, address books or calendars.
- No biometric information.
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies at launch — see Cookie Notice.
- No information from anyone under 18 (section 6).
- No files, images or content you upload. The Site has no upload of any kind — not a profile picture, not a document, not a message to another user. Your profile icon is a colour you pick from a fixed list, not an image.
- No web analytics product, and no behavioural profile.
- MTA does not buy personal information from data brokers.

5.1 MTA does not use your personal information to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, and does not sell it.
5.2 MTA does not profile you, and does not use your information for automated decision-making that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you. Applications for Site access and Class admission are reviewed by a person, every time. The only automated checks are:
- the 18+ age validation in section 3.1, which rejects an under-18 application at the form step; and
- rate limits — automated caps on how often an address or a network may attempt to sign in, request a password reset, or submit a form, which exist to stop abuse and are not decisions about you.
6. Age — 18 and over only
6.1 The Site and all MTA products are for adults aged 18 or older. MTA does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
6.2 MTA collects date of birth at sign-up and rejects an application showing an age under 18 before it is reviewed.
6.3 If you believe someone under 18 has given MTA personal information, write to moneytradingacademy.infra@gmail.com and MTA will delete it and close the account.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
7.1 Cookies, what they are used for, and how to control them are described in Cookie Notice.
7.2 MTA does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies at launch.
8. Third-party processors
8.1 MTA uses the following service providers to operate. Each receives only what it needs for its function, and processes it for MTA under its own agreement and privacy policy.
| Provider | What it does for MTA | What it processes | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Authentication, database, file storage | Account and sign-in data, application and enrollment records, purchase records, consent records, progress and quiz records, staff notes and the action log, Course files, technical logs | https://supabase.com/privacy |
| Vercel | Hosting for the Site | Request metadata: IP address, user-agent, URL requested, timestamps | https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy |
| Resend | Transactional email | Name, email address, message content, delivery events | https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy |
| Sign-in, if you choose "Continue with Google" | Google tells MTA your email address, name and Google account identifier; Google separately knows that you signed in to MTA. MTA never receives your Google password. Not involved at all if you sign up with an email and password | https://policies.google.com/privacy | |
| Zoom | Live sessions | What it needs to connect you: display name, the email you join with, IP address, connection and device data. No participant audio or video — sessions are one-way (section 3.7) | https://www.zoom.com/en/trust/privacy/ |
| DigitalOcean | Hosting for the indicator's licence server (section 3.8) | Indicator access keys, licence status, the bound machine identifier, connection logs | https://www.digitalocean.com/legal/privacy-policy |
| Stripe | Payment processing, when card checkout goes live (MTA will be merchant of record) | Name, email, card details (directly — MTA never sees them), amount, currency, transaction identifiers, fraud-prevention signals | https://stripe.com/privacy |
8.4 MTA's future plans include a video-hosting provider for recorded lessons. It is not in use today, and this table must be updated before it is.
9. When MTA shares information — and what it never does
9.1 MTA shares personal information only:
- with the processors in section 8, to run the service;
- with professional advisers (for example accountants and lawyers) under a duty of confidentiality;
- where required by law, subpoena, or other lawful request, or to protect MTA's rights, safety, or property, or the rights and safety of others;
- to investigate and act on suspected fraud, content piracy, or abuse; and
- to a successor if MTA's business is sold or reorganized — in which case MTA will tell you.
9.2 MTA DOES NOT SELL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act. MTA has never done so.
9.3 MTA does not disclose your information to other students. Aggregate figures MTA publishes — for example that a Class is full — do not identify anyone.
10. How long MTA keeps information
| Category | Retention |
|---|---|
| Account, application, approval and enrollment records | For the life of the account, and afterwards as long as needed for disputes, appeals, reinstatement, tax and accounting — MTA marks records rather than deleting them, so a closed or blocked account's records persist |
| Purchase and refund records | As long as required for tax, accounting and dispute purposes |
| Consent records | Kept for as long as they may be needed to evidence what you agreed to, which normally means at least as long as any purchase they relate to could be disputed |
| Course progress and quiz records | For the life of the account, because they determine refund eligibility. Append-only — MTA does not remove or rewrite them |
| Staff notes and the staff-action log (3.3.1) | For as long as needed to review a decision, handle an appeal, or defend a claim. The action log is append-only by design, so that enforcement is auditable |
| Password-reset records (3.2.1) | As long as needed to enforce the limit of two completed resets in any 30 days, and afterwards for a short period so that account-security reports can be investigated |
| Live session data | Held by MTA's video provider under its own retention terms; MTA keeps only attendance information and any recording it deliberately made |
| Indicator licence records | For the life of the licence and afterwards for support and anti-abuse |
| Support communications | As long as needed to answer you and handle anything arising from it, and afterwards as long as needed for appeals, disputes, and MTA's tax and accounting obligations |
| Technical and server logs | Short-term, per MTA's providers' defaults |
| Marketing email records and opt-outs | Opt-out records are kept indefinitely, so MTA does not email you again by mistake |
11. Security
11.1 Traffic to and from the Site is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Data held by MTA's database and storage provider is encrypted at rest by that provider.
11.2 MTA does not hold your card details. Payment happens on Stripe's infrastructure.
11.3 Access to Course files is granted through short-lived, per-request links issued only after MTA's server has checked that you are approved, hold a Seat, have paid, and that the Material has been released.
11.4 Access controls are enforced on MTA's servers and in its database, not only in the browser. Staff access to customer records is limited to staff who need it.
11.5 MTA applies rate limits to sign-in, password reset and form submission, to slow guessing and abuse, and caps completed password resets at two in any 30 days.
11.6 No system is perfectly secure. MTA cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, MTA will notify you and any regulator as required by law, without undue delay.
12. Your privacy rights
12.1 Subject to verification and to legal limits, you may ask MTA to:
- Know / access — tell you what personal information MTA holds about you, the categories of sources, the purposes, the categories of third parties it was disclosed to, and give you a copy;
- Correct — fix inaccurate personal information;
- Delete — delete your personal information;
- Port — provide a copy in a portable format;
- Opt out of sale or sharing — MTA does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still ask;
- Limit use of sensitive personal information — MTA does not use sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right;
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. MTA will not deny you a product, charge you a different price, or give you a lower level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
12.2 How to ask. Email moneytradingacademy.infra@gmail.com from the address on your account, or write to moneytradingacademy.infra@gmail.com. MTA will verify that the request is really yours — normally by confirming you control the account email — before acting on it.
12.3 Timing. MTA aims to acknowledge a request within 10 business days and to respond substantively within 45 calendar days, extendable by a further 45 days where necessary, with notice.
12.4 Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent. MTA may require written proof of the agent's authority and may verify your identity directly.
12.5 Limits on deletion. MTA may refuse or partly refuse a deletion request where it must keep information — for example to complete a transaction, to comply with tax, accounting or other legal obligations, to detect or prevent fraud or content piracy, to exercise or defend legal claims, or to preserve the consent and purchase records that evidence what you agreed to. MTA will tell you what it kept and why.
12.6 Complaints. If you are unhappy with MTA's response, write to moneytradingacademy.infra@gmail.com. You may also complain to the relevant state authority, including the California Privacy Protection Agency or the California Attorney General.
13. California disclosures
13.1 This section supplements the rest of this policy for California residents.
13.2 Categories of personal information MTA collects, using the categories in the California Consumer Privacy Act:
| CCPA category | Does MTA collect it? | Examples from section 3 | Disclosed to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Yes | Name, email, phone, IP address, account and provider identifiers | Processors in section 8 |
| Customer records / commercial information | Yes | Purchases, amounts, discount codes, refunds, licence records | Processors in section 8 |
| Protected classification characteristics | Yes — age only | Date of birth (18+ gate and analytics) | Not disclosed except to MTA's database provider |
| Internet or network activity | Yes | Pages requested, log data, Course progress, quiz attempts and answers, email delivery events, appearance and layout preferences | Processors in section 8 |
| Geolocation data | Coarse only | Country if you supply it; country inferred from IP by providers. No precise location | Processors in section 8 |
| Audio, electronic, visual information | Essentially no | Live Sessions are one-way — MTA collects no participant audio, video or chat, and does not currently record sessions (section 3.7). The video provider processes connection data under its own policy | Video provider in section 8 |
| Professional or employment information | No | — | — |
| Education information | No (in the FERPA sense) | MTA records your progress in its own courses (internet-activity category above) | — |
| Sensitive personal information | No | MTA does not collect government IDs, financial account credentials, precise geolocation, health, biometric, racial, religious, union, sex-life or contents-of-communications data for the purposes that trigger this category | — |
| Inferences | Limited | Aggregate analytics about MTA's audience. MTA does not build advertising or behavioral profiles | — |
13.3 Sources: you, your sign-in provider, MTA's payment processor, and MTA's own systems.
13.4 Business purposes for collecting each category are in section 5.
13.5 "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." MTA does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because there is no such activity, MTA does not offer an opt-out link; if that ever changes, this policy will be updated and an opt-out mechanism provided before the activity begins.
13.6 Financial-incentive programs. MTA offers discount codes (Discount & Promotion Terms). These are commercial discounts and are not conditioned on giving MTA personal information beyond what a purchase requires.
13.7 Shine the Light. MTA does not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.
14. Where information is processed
14.1 MTA operates in the United States and its providers process information in the United States and, for some providers, in other countries where they run infrastructure or support.
14.2 MTA's products are offered to US customers. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
15. Email you receive from MTA
15.1 Transactional email is part of the service — application acknowledgements, approval and decision notices, receipts, Class and session notices, security notices, and policy-change notices. You cannot opt out of transactional email while you hold an account, because it is how MTA gives you notice.
15.2 MTA does not currently send marketing email, and there is no marketing sign-up on the Site.
15.3 If MTA starts sending marketing email, it will be on a separate, optional opt-in that is never pre-ticked and never bundled with your acceptance of the Terms, declining it will not affect your application or your access, and you will be able to withdraw it at any time from the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by writing to moneytradingacademy.infra@gmail.com. MTA will keep a record of your opt-out indefinitely, so it does not email you again by mistake. This policy and section 3.11 must be updated before the first marketing email is sent, not after.
16. Changes to this policy
16.1 This policy is versioned. Each published version is stored in full with a content hash, and is never edited in place. See Terms of Service section 24.
16.2 Cosmetic changes take effect on publication with a changelog entry. Material changes are notified by email and an in-Site banner at least 30 days before they take effect. Materially adverse changes — including any expansion of how MTA uses your information — require your affirmative acceptance before you continue.
16.3 You can see every version you accepted, and the exact text, from your account.
